Municipal Corporation , while removing encroachments , especially at Kapurthala Road ( DAV Canal ) area, showed extreme highhandedness .
Goods of humble pavement sellers were thrown into the canal.
This is very strange as it can only confiscate and not destroy goods.
This should have been avoided as the goods , like vegetables belonged to humble pavement sellers .
In India every body has a Right to earn livelihood.
All fellow Indians should be treated equally.
Suitable compensation should be paid and enquiry initiated.
