Thanks to the popular English Daily " The Tribune " 's Report , Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal has taken the initiative of getting cleaned Bist Doab Distributory ( popularly known as DAV College Nehar ) .
( Bist Doab means Beas - Sutlej Doab - Land between two rivers )
Sant Seechewal has been hailed at Present Day Lord Bhagirath .
Like 'Save Sukhna Lake " movement of Chandigarh in which Chandigarh citizens participated on a volunteering basis similarly Jalandhar public should be involved in cleaning the Bist Doab Neher ( Head works- Ropar Via Balachaur , Adampur to Jalandhar )
Further , students should be appointed as Honorary Supervisors so that public does not dump garbage in the canal.
