Beretta M 1934 Pistol ( Italian origin ) - Serial No. 606824 was used by Nathu Ram Godse to assassinate the Father of The Nation Mahatma Gandhi on 30--01-1948 around 5:17 PM at Birla House New Delhi

Trial of Mahatma Gandhi assassination case  took place in a special Court in Red Fort, Delhi. As Delhi , at that time was under Punjab , Appeal was heard by Punjab High Court ( which had moved from Lahore to Shimla ).  Gwalior based Dr Dattatraya S Parchure, who had helped Nathuram Godse procure the murder weapon in Gwalior was sentenced to Death by the Trial Court , Delhi. In the Appeal Court at Shimla Dr. Parchure was acquitted.

Nathuram Godse and Narayan Apte were hanged in Ambala Jail on 15/11/1949
