Celebrations are taking place for the Chinese New Year ( Lunar Calendar ). Every body in Jalandhar and India feels very proud of the fact that it is the year of the Tiger.
Tiger is synonymous with India ( it is India's national animal ). So, it a good omen for India. We, also , pray for the survival of the tiger in India but especially in China where there number is absolutely on the brink. We hope they leave the tigers in the wild rather than in jars on the shelves of traditional medicine shops.
