Climate Change-Unpredictable Rains-Revive Village Pond System

From a drought situation , India in the south has got submerged by floods. Many experts are calling this a climate change effect.

One thing is certain. Rains are going to become unpredictable . We should , on emergency basis , revive village ponds. ( Tobba) . These ponds collect water during heavy rains , thus preventing floods. The water collected can be used during dry months.

Further , more trees should be planted and forest area increased substantially. This would reduce the damage caused by global warming and resultant climate change.
