B.Ed Entrance Exam ( GNDU ) Postponed - Candidates Greatly Inconvenienced

Combined Entrance Test for B.Ed for Guru Nanak Dev University ; Punjabi University ; Panjab University and LovelyProfessional University was scheduled for to day ( 12-07-09 ). The co-ordinating University was GNDU.

But yesterday evening a decision was taken to postpone the Exams as the Question Paper was set only in English and not , also , in Punjabi.

Many students were not aware of this eleventh hour development. They reached the Exams centre only to be told to go back.

A fresh date would be announced soon.

This year has been a very difficult year from academics point of view for Jalandhar students.

First there was postponement ( twice ) because of Lok Sabha elections ; then Post Vienna Violence; then Tehsildars' Strike and now, this administrative lapse.
