Tourists From Jalandhar Keen To Visit Kashmir

Tourists from Jalandhar are keen to visit Kashmir during the current summer vacations. But they are not clear about the prevailing law and order situation there. There are frequent reports of " Bandhs " and public agitations. Tourists , then , tend to prefer other hill stations in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Kashmir Tourism Department should issue advertisements and notices encouraging tourists to come to Kashmir.

Tourism and religious events like Amarnath Yatra have the potential of bringing large incomes to those residents of Kashmir who are engaged in hospitality sector.
