As per the instructions of chairman of Legal Services Authority cum District and Sessions Judge Jalandhar Gurdev Singh , a quarterly Labour Lok Adalat was held in Jalandhar on 05-06-09. Balbir Singh was the Presiding officer. Jyotshna , advocate and Rakesh Kumar were concliators.
Of the 77 cases put before this Lok Adalat 41 were resolved and Awards issued. A total sum of Rs. 3.5 lakh was ordered to be paid to the aggrieved labourers.
