A 101 member committee was formed at a meeting of riot Victims held at village Paragpur ( Jalandhar ) Gurudwara. This committee would interact with Government so that views and demands of all sides are conveyed to the Govt. The meeting welcomed the payment of compensation for the damage to private property. The participants aired views on prevention of any repeat of such events of violence and arson. They wanted that the law and order should be allowed to take its due process and this process should not be interfered with.
