Rs.2500 crore+ Loss in Phasing Out Chinese Mobiles

It has been reported that around 15-04-09, for security reasons, about 2.5 crore mobile handsets would be disabled. These hand sets are mainly cheap Chinese sets and not all of them are illegally imported. Such sets are owned mainly by the not so well to do owners.

Our Govt. should device such ways that these mobile sets become security compliant and unnecessary financial loss is not caused to the common man. Even if one set is priced at Rs.1000/- it means a colossal loss of more than Rs.2500 crore to the general public.
