There was panic buying of petrol because of reports of non supply of petrol to pumps as there is a strike going on in Public Sector Oil companies. Long lines of vehicles were seen at petrol pumps.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar instructed the District Food And Supply Controller to make surprise checks at Pumps to ensure that there is no profiteering .
Many customers of normal petrol were forced to buy premium petrol.
