Deputy Commissioner Jalandhar Ajit Singh Pannu has issued orders ( under Section 144 ) to operators of public Cyber cafes in Jalandhar District. Cyber Cafes would have to check customers' identity like Ration Card, Voter I.D. Card, Driving Licence, Passport, Credit Card etc. before allowing them to operate Internet services.
Cyber Cafe would , also , have to maintain a Register recording the details of Cafe visitors and record of activity server for 6 months. Any suspicious customer activity should be reported to the the police.
Details of domestic servants and tenants should be provided to the area police station.
Domestic animals should not be left loose in public places.
Encroachment along public roads and road berms should be removed.
These orders would remain in force till 10-03-2009
