Cold Wave Abates in Jalandhar

For the past few days there have been sunny days and absence of dense fogs.

This has brought some respite from the severe cold that has been prevailing in the region.

Earlier there used to be thick coverage of trees between Dhauladhar mountains ( Dharamshala , Himachal Pradesh and plains of Jalandhar. This used to lessen the impact of cold wind movement to areas like Jalandhar.

We need to regenerate our forest cover to save ourselves from extreme weather conditions.
