Principal Kiran Arora of Prem Chand Markanda S.D. College For Women, Jalandhar has informed that in 2009 many new courses would be introduced . These include M.A.- Fine Arts; M.Sc.-Maths; M.Com; and professional courses like Bachelor in Designing and Cosmetology .
To fulfil a long standing requirement , hostel construction for 450 students at a new site 1 km away from the college premises , would be completed in 2009 .
