After water was released in the Kotli Minor canal ( "sua"), it overflowed and there were breaches in the canal. Many agricultural fields of Village Fateh Jalal ( near Kartarpur ) were flooded leading to a considerable damage to the standing wheat and potato crops.Most of the landlords affected belong to village Pattar Kalan.
Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar Ajit Singh Pannu I.A.S. visited the affected village and assured compensation.
