NRI Police Station Acts Against Marriage Fraud

Some NRIs are in the inhuman habit of entering in to multiple marriages on their trips to India. Apart from some " fun" they have no qualms about pocketing the life savings from brides' parents by way of dowry . Such " grooms " while abroad sound their Indian friends / relatives and Immigration agents to keep a look for eligible young , beautiful and gullible victims who are invariably with a poor /illiterate background . Later, after some time, these NRIs either simply dump their brides or take them abroad to a life of servitude and humiliation vis- a -vis their " legal wife "

But things have become some adverse for such human and emotion traffickers with the opening up of NRI Police stations in Punjab. Recently , Nawanshahr NRI SHO has arrested four accomplises of a New Zealand bride-groom , originally from village Jhingeran ( Nawanshahr ) who destroyed the life and dreams of a young girl from village Kahlama ( Kapurthala )

" The process is on to get the NRI husband, , declared a proclaimed offender ( P.O.)" said the SHO, NRI police station.
