Jalandhar District And Sessions Judge Gurdev Singh has directed that all cases pertaining to criminal offences under the Negotiable Instruments Act ( Cheque Bouncing Cases ) be reverted back from the Special Court to Judicial Magistrates. Over 20,000 cheque bouncing cases are pending in Jalandhar courts. Similarly Traffic Challan cases have also been reverted back to Trial Courts.
District Bar Association, Jalandhar's Secretary, Prabhjot Singh Sidana , has welcome these directions.
