Punjab Govt has passed a Marriage Act making Registration of Marriages compulsory. This much awaited legislation would help greatly in solving Marital Disputes; Illegal and Polygamous marriages; Propert Division and Prevention of N.R.I, Bride desertion And Multi marriage crimes.
This legislation would go a long way in prevention of crime and harassement of married women.
